Concord students fund Buddy Bench

Concord Elementary School students Adelyn and Grant Evans recently used their birthday money to purchase a Buddy Bench for their school. Grant noticed that some of the children did not have anyone to play with during third-grade recess. After talking with his family, they decided to purchase the bench. Buddy Benches are located at each of Lindbergh's elementary schools to help students connect with one another on the playground. When a student does not have someone to play with at recess, he or she can sit on one of the Buddy Benches. Then when other students see someone on the benches, they go and ask them to play or ask if they would like to walk and talk....more >>
