Lindbergh student and leukemia survivor throws first pitch for Cards

Kennerly Elementary School second-grader Campbell Crask recently had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to throw an honorary first pitch for the St. Louis Cardinals. Campbell is a leukemia survivor and a patient at the David C. Pratt Cancer Center at Mercy Hospital. She was one of nine children chosen by their clinics to participate in the Major League Baseball Kids Starting Lineup program, a leaguewide effort to raise awareness of pediatric cancer. Mehlville Optimist Club honors Student of the Month from Lutheran South

The Mehlville Optimist Club recently honored Grace Koehn of Lutheran High School South as its Student of the Month. Grace is Student Council president, Wind Symphony president, girls' tennis team captain, a Kairos leader, a Student Ambassador mentor and a blood drive coordinator. She also is a member of the National Honor Society and the Key Club. She hopes to pursue a career devoted to youth guidance and perhaps become a director of Christian youth education.
