December 28, 2005 - The YMCA of Greater St. Louis and the Pujols Family Foundation will sponsor "The Art of Baseball, A Skills Demon-stration and Clinic" Saturday, Jan. 7.
Albert Pujols and other players will demonstrate the skills that have served them well in Major League Baseball during the camp, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lindbergh High School Field House, 4900 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
Washington University head baseball coach Ric Lessmann will lead the camp.
Pujols and other players will demonstrate their skills in a theater-in-the-round-type setting; coaches will lead participants as they practice and perfect the same moves.
The clinic is open to all athletes, coaches and fans. Baseball gloves are suggested, no other equipment required.
The cost is $75 per person ages 8 to adult. Children ages 8 to 12 must be ac-companied by a paying adult. No YMCA membership is required.
Lunch and soft drinks will be provided. Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt including Pujols' signature.
No autograph or photo opportunities with professional players will be permitted, ac-cording to a news release. Videotaping by participants will not be permitted.
