Several incumbents hope for re-election next April

December 21, 2005 - Staff Report

Several incumbents are looking to re-tain their municipal and school board seats in next April's election as they filed for re-election last week.

Filing for most municipal seats and all school board seats up for election April 4 began Dec. 13 and will continue through 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17. However, filing was scheduled to begin Tuesday — after the Call went to press — in Crestwood, a charter city.

Aldermanic seats are up for election in the cities of Crestwood, Green Park and Sunset Hills next spring. In addition, the posts of mayor and collector are up for election in Sunset Hills.

Two seats on both the Lindbergh and Mehlville boards of education also are up for election April 4.

Crestwood

Aldermanic seats held by Richard La-Bore of Ward 1, Tim Trueblood of Ward 2, Don Maddox of Ward 3 and Joe O'Keefe of Ward 4 are up for election. The seats carry three-year terms.

Due to term limits, LaBore and True-blood are ineligible to seek re-election.

Green Park

Aldermanic seats held by Judy Betlach of Ward 1, Jackie Wilson of Ward 2 and Fred Baras of Ward 3 are up for election. The seats carry two-year terms.

Wilson and Baras have filed for re-election.

Sunset Hills

Seats held by Mayor Jim Hobbs and Col-lector Thomas Fleer are up for election.

Both have filed for re-election.

Aldermanic seats held by John Tipton of Ward 1, John Smith of Ward 2, Robert Brockhaus of Ward 3 and A. Ron Kaem-merer of Ward 4 are up for election.

All four aldermen have filed for re-election.

All of the Sunset Hills seats up for election carry two-year terms.

Lindbergh

Board of Education seats held by Vice President Kenneth Fey and Barry Cooper are up for election. The seats carry three-year terms.

Fey has filed for re-election. Janine M. Fabick, 33 MacLane Court, 63127, also has filed.
