Church slates Boar's Head Christmas Festival

October 26, 2005 - Good King Wenceslas of Christmas carol fame will come to life as the central figure in Peace Lutheran Church's 11th annual Boar's Head Christmas Festival.

This colorful celebration, much like the original one presented in the 1340s in Ox-ford, England, offers a peek into Christmas past and gives attendees a look into a Me-dieval manor's Yuletide feast, which even in those days was designed to bring the Christ-mas story to non-Christian guests.

The Boar's Head Christmas Festival will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, Friday, Dec. 2, and Saturday, Dec. 3. Two services will take place — at 4 and 7:30 p.m. — Sunday, Dec. 4.

Tickets are free and will be available be-ginning at 8 a.m. Nov. 1 at the church office, 737 Barracksview Road, or by telephone at (314) 892-5610.
