Lindbergh Players to present 'If a Man Answers'
October 19, 2005 - The zany, romantic comedies of the 1950s, ala Doris Day and Rock Hudson, will come to life again when the Lindbergh High School Players present "If a Man Answers" at 7 p.m. today, Oct. 20, through Saturday, Oct. 22, in the district auditorium, 4900 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
When her new husband (junior Max TenBroek) Gene, a photographer who's always surrounded by a bevy of gorgeous models, starts taking her for granted, young Chantal Stacey (freshman Danielle Critzas) turns to her Paris-born mother (senior Joee Gardiner) for marital advice.
Her mother's "treat-him-like-a-dog" ad-vice works fine until Chantal's femme fatale girlfriend, Tina (senior Olivia Engel) lets the cat out of the bag. With the help of his father (senior Carlos Cuartas) and father-in-law (junior Shaun Scott), Gene turns the tables on his new wife. A collection of eccentric models and urbane partygoers who groove to the smooth sounds of Bobby Darin help round out this delightful production.
Admission is $5. Tickets are available at the door.
