Lindbergh pupils become Glory of Missouri, receive special legislative proclamations


April 13, 2005 - Students from seven schools in the Lindbergh School District recently receiv-ed Glory of Missouri awards from the Missouri Legislature, according to a district news release.

The program, sponsored by state Rep. Jim Avery, honors students who best display one of the 14 virtues engraved in the House of Representative Chambers — knowledge, liberty, equality, law, justice, fraternity, education, progress, honor, truth, virtue, temperance, enterprise and charity.

Students accepted their awards in Jefferson City, where they enjoyed a special lunch and tour of the Capitol. Each student received a proclamation signed by Avery.

According the news release, these students received awards:

Crestwood Elementary School: Veronica Riggs, Abigail Klosterman, Joshua Chio-dini, Rachel Collins, Paul Kurzhals, Taylor Newton, Joanna Weiler, Chadaria Lane, Meghan Shrewsbury, Allison Berndt, Jeremy Jodlowski, Mitchell Roemmich, Sarah Burns, Maryanne Haenni;

Kennerly Elementary School: Thomas Korenak, Claire Lenzen, Erin Vilimek, Jordan Dean, Maddilyn Costa, David Miller, Emily Haskins, Carolyn Mueller, Andrea Purvis, Andrew Wetherington, Grant Krueger, Brandon Graham, Kelly Martin, Katie Lucarz;
