YMCA seeks volunteers for reading programs


YMCA Read Program

Volunteers are needed to serve as tutors for students lacking basic reading skills for two hours a week in city and near city libraries.

Volunteers must attend one six-hour training session. Share your love for reading today.

Beginning Babies with Books

The YMCA needs volunteers to read to children in area health clinics.

YMCA Literacy

The YMCA Literacy Council needs volunteers to provide literacy tutoring for students 18 and older.

Volunteers will be trained and you may be assigned to a literacy student or an ESOL student — English for speakers of other languages.

Tutors are needed at sites throughout the metropolitan area.
