Sign-up currently under way for day camps
The St. Louis County Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registration for Camp Suson and Camp Kenbosu.
Registration for Camp Suson is under way at Suson Park, 6073 Wells Road. Camp Suson is a day camp for 4- to 6-year-olds who enjoy games, crafts, nature programs and sports.
Each two-week session of camp costs $80 and runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Camp Suson begins on June 14 and is filled with fun supervised indoor and outdoor activities all summer long.
Registration for Camp Kenbosu is under way at the Wayne C. Kennedy Recreation Complex, 6050 Wells Road. Camp Kenbosu is a day camp for 6- to 12-year-olds who enjoy games, crafts, nature programs, and sports. It rotates locations among Bohrer, Kennedy and Suson parks.
Each two-week session of camp costs $105 and runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For an additional charge, children can join the Sunrise Club from 7:30 to 9 a.m., the Late-Day Club from 3 to 6 p.m. or take American Red Cross swimming lessons. Camp Kenbosu begins on June 14 and is filled with fun supervised indoor and outdoor activities all summer long.
Besides traditional day camps, the Department of Parks and Recreation offers many other specialty camps, including Snorkel and Scuba clinics, Karate, Yoga, Drama-Rama Theater and Mad Science Camp.
