The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Area Chamber of Commerce recently joined Nikki Embrich from Enterprise Bank in presenting Joseph Dummerth with a $50 U.S. savings bond and a plaque for being named Student of the Month. Dummerth is a senior at Life Christian School and sets the standard for other students to follow. He comes from a large family and was home schooled until the ninth grade. He has been a member of the National Honor Society since the 10th grade and has made the Principal's Honor Roll every semester of high school. He carries a 4.39 grade-point average and has taken advantage of the Advanced Placement Program at Life Christian. Besides excelling academically, Dummerth is involved in athletics, playing basketball all four years, soccer for three years, volleyball for two years and will be on the first-ever baseball team this spring at Life Christian. He is involved in the Life Christian Church as well. He has been involved with the NHS mentoring program and helps as a teaching assistant in the 4-year-old kindergarten class. Dummerth plans to attend the University of Missouri-St. Louis and earn a degree in communications and broadcasting.
