12-year-old places in Sno Ball Diving Invitational

Chelsea Self
Chelsea Self, 12, recently received first place in the 13-year-old-and-younger 3-meter division of the Sno Ball Diving Invitational.

She competed Jan. 31 in Kansas City, according to a news release.

She also placed second in the 14- and 15-year-old 1-meter division.

Self is a pupil at Blades Elementary School in the Mehlville School District

She trains with the Lightning Diving Team at the Rec Plex in St. Peters, the release stated.

The St. Peters Rec Plex will be the home of the 2004 Olympic Diving Trials in June.
