The Board of Directors of the Crestwood-Sunset Hills Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced the 2003 Chamber Award winners:
• Business Person of the Year — Karen Schuster. Schuster is senior vice president at Southwest Bank in Crestwood. A certified public accountant, she is a past president, of the Crestwood-Sunset Hills Area Chamber of Commerce, community service chairman for the Crestwood-Sunset Hills Rotary Club and a Kirkwood Webster Groves YMCA Partner Campaign team leader.
• Citizen of the Year — Robert Brockhaus. Brockhaus is director of the Jefferson Smurfit Center for Entrepreneurship Studies at St. Louis University and a Ward 3 alderman for the city of Sunset Hills. He also serves as chairman of the Public Works Committee and the Special Projects Committee for Sunset Hills and is vice chairman of the Gravois Trail District of the Boy Scouts of America.
• Rookie of the Year — Mike Weiderman. Weiderman has been the owner of Minuteman Press since November 2002. He serves on the chamber's Fund-Raising Committee and is a member of the Crestwood-Sunset Hills Kiwanis Club.
• Community Improvement Award — Kohl's Department Store. Michelle Held is manager of the Kohl's Department Store in Crestwood that opened last October.
Award recipients will be honored during the chamber's annual awards Luncheon that will take place Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the Holiday Inn Southwest-Viking Conference Center.
