The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Area Chamber of Commerce recently joined Karen Schuster of Southwest Bank in presenting Ashley Kopp with a $50 savings bond and a plaque in recognition of being named Student of the Month. Kopp excels academically at Life Christian School where she is a senior carrying a 4.53 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. She has been recognized nationally by Who's Who Among American High School Students and is a member of the National Honor Society. Kopp is an accomplished artist and has been recognized by various commissions to do artwork, including painting a mural for the Life Christian Center children's ministry called the Backlot. Kopp is a member of the girls' soccer team and the school choir. She was named to the Homecoming Court two years in a row. Kopp is pursuing a career in the field of art considering Webster University and the Kansas City Art Institute.
