The county Department of Parks and Recreation will offer a "Whitetail Deer Walk'' at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Jefferson Barracks Park, Telegraph and Kingston roads.
Cost of the two-hour program is $3 and advance registration is suggested.
Participants are asked to meet at the Leuthauser Shelter at the intersection of Grant and Cye. A park naturalist will lead the group on an after-hours walk through the park in search of herds of Northern Whitetail Deer. Walkers will learn about the habits, habitats, foods and history of the Whitetail Deer.
