World Wars camp will begin June 23

The county Department of Parks and Recreation will offer a World Wars summer camp for children ages 9 to 15.

The camp will take place from Monday, June 23 to Thursday, June 26, at the Jefferson Barracks Historic Site.

Participants will find out what life was like during the two World Wars. Activities will include relay races, a talk with a veteran from the Battle of the Bulge and designing a USO show.

The cost of the World Wars summer camp is $100 per person and includes a field trip to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery during the week.
