The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Area Chamber of Commerce recently joined representatives of Allegiant Bank in presenting Andrea Gregory with a $50 savings bond and a plaque for being named Student of the Month. Andrea is a senior at Thomas Jefferson School and is the first person from that school to be completely self-supporting and graduate from the school. She also will be the first person from her family to go to a four-year college. She works three summer jobs to pay for her tuition as well as holding down a job during the school year. Besides averaging six to eight hours of homework each day, Andrea finds time to do volunteer work at the St. Patrick Center, Bright Be-ginning Learning Center and Bethesda Dillworth. She is president of the Student Council, a writer for the Declaration newspaper and plays on the varsity tennis team and basketball team. She also produced and acted in the all-school play. Andrea has been accepted at five colleges, but hasn't made her final decision.
