The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Area Chamber of Commerce joined Diane Gray from Union Planters Bank in presenting Laura Meyer with a $50 savings bond and a plaque for being named Student of the Month. She is a senior at Lindbergh High School and currently carries a grade-point average of 4.1 and is in the top 10 percent of her class. Meyer served as the on-campus chair of the chamber's Toy Drive last year and successfully coordinated the collection of the largest number of toys ever at Lindbergh High School. She chaired a community service project called Rebuilding Together With Christ-mas in April, leading the group in a cleanup project in Meacham Park. During her four years at Lindbergh, she has participated in the Spirit of St. Louis Marching Band, competed on the track team and played both basketball and volleyball. In her spare time outside of school, Meyer has a part-time job and is an active member of her church's youth group, serving on the Senior Youth Board.
