December 25, 2013 - The Green Park Lutheran School seventh- and eighth-grade girls' volleyball team recently won the Lutheran Sports Association of Missouri's state championship competition in Concordia. The team record for the season in sets was 86-6 with a match record of 45-1. The team included four eighth-grade students — Sarah Baese, Emma Hopfer, Maddie Horn and Emma Lind. Over the past two seasons, these players boasted an incredible record of 156-10 in sets and 81-4 in matches. Team members, front row, from left, are: Kate Kolnik, Kaylee Freihaut, Katie Torbeck, Jessica Wuerffel, Abby Frankenreiter and Melanie Anderson.
