Class collecting trees for recycling program

December 25, 2013 - The Kennerly Elementary School fifth-grade class invites the public to recycle their Christmas trees at the school, 10025 Kennerly Road, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 4.

The class is raising funds for its end-of-year party, and also wants to do a service project for the school. Common Cents Rental Lawn and Garden in Fenton is donating equipment and personnel to mulch the trees on-site at Kennerly, providing useful ground cover for the school's many outdoor garden areas.

The cost is $10 for dropping off the tree or $15 to have it picked up from your home. To schedule a pickup, contact Sarah Chavez at sarahandbobchavez@yahoo.com or (314) 200-9428.
