Mehlville seeks Distinguished Service Award nominees
January 30, 2013 - The Mehlville School District is accepting nominations for its 2013 Distinguished Service Award, or DSA.
This annual honor recognizes individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the lives of Mehlville students or staff, an individual school or to the entire district during the past 12 months.
Any district parent, resident, business person or civic group is eligible to win the Distinguished Service Award. In addition, former district employees who continue to provide volunteer services at schools within the district can be nominated.
Former Board of Education members whose terms ended at least three years ago but remain active supporting the district also are eligible. DSA nominees should be involved in a variety of school or district activities and/or services and are supportive of the district, its students and staff, according to a news release.
Any district resident, student or staff member may submit a nomination for the 2013 Distinguished Service Award. Nomination forms are available under the Community tab at www.mehlvilleschooldistrict.com. People also can have a nomination form emailed to them by contacting the district's Communications Office at (314) 467-5151. All nomination forms must be submitted by Friday, March 22.
The Distinguished Service Award winner will be announced at the District's annual Recognition Night celebration May 2.
