January 30, 2013 - The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for one or more $1,000 scholarships to be awarded late this spring.
A special award presentation to the selected applicant or applicants will take place at a chamber luncheon this summer.
A qualified applicant must be a graduating senior who plans to pursue an education beyond high school and who resides in either Crestwood or Sunset Hills, according to a chamber news release.
This scholarship will be based solely on merit. An application can be obtained by visiting www.ourchamber.com/Scholarships.html or by calling the chamber office at (314) 843-8545.
Applications must be postmarked no later than 5 p.m. Feb. 28. The selected applicant or applicants will be notified by April 30.
Revenues for scholarships will be generated at the sixth annual Casino Royale Gala and Auction scheduled from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at the Orlando Gardens Banquet Center on Watson Road.
