Mehlville to offer Spring Into Health Wellness Fair

Fair will take place March 9 at Bernard Middle

January 23, 2013 - The Mehlville School District will host a free Spring Into Health Wellness Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at Bernard Middle School, 1054 Forder Road.

Experts from a wide variety of fields will be on hand to provide tips about staying mentally and physically healthy, according to a news release.

The Wellness Fair will focus on health screenings, fire safety tips, nutrition information, eye care, fitness tips, chiropractic services, bike helmet fitting and more.

For more information about the Wellness Fair, contact the Mehlville School District School Food and Nutrition Services at (314) 467-5250.

The Mercy St. Louis Mammography Van will also be at the Spring Into Health Wellness Fair. Bring an insurance card and a photo ID to your appointment so the cost of the digital screening mammogram can be billed to your health insurance provider. For women who have no health insurance or have health insurance with a high deductible, Mercy does receive some funding to provide free mammograms and breast screenings. If you have a low income and are uninsured orunder‐insured, range in age from 40 to 64 and need a mammogram/breast screening, call to see if you qualify for a free screening.

To schedule a mammogram, call (314) 251‐6300 or (800) 446‐3742. Walk‐ups also are welcome.
