This year's winners chosen from pool of 27 nominees

January 16, 2013 - The 2013 recipients of the Lindbergh Leaders Award will be honored Feb. 22 during a recognition dinner banquet at Royale Orleans.

This year's winners were chosen from a pool of 27 outstanding nominees, according to Lindbergh Schools news release. Lindbergh Leaders are nominated by their fellow community members for their service to Lindbergh Schools and leadership in the community.

The recognition dinner banquet is open to the public, and tickets are available by filling out a reservation form, which is available at all Lindbergh school buildings. This year's honorees, along with comments from their nominators, include:

Sharon Dobbs, Concord reading specialist — "A Lindbergh teacher for 25 years, Sharon constantly challenges herself to 'think outside the box' to help every student reach success."

Kim Jacobs, parent volunteer — "Kim puts students and staff first, and is always ready and willing to take on a challenge to benefit Lindbergh."

Amy Kaiser, Lindbergh High School Math Department chair — "A former Lindbergh Teacher of the Year, a finalist for Missouri Teacher of the Year, and a recipient of the Emerson Excellence in Education Award, Amy is Lindbergh to her core."
