Blades Elementary School To Celebrate 40th Anniversary


October 10, 2012 - Teachers and alumni will share their memories and join the celebration as Blades Elementary School, 5140 Patterson Road, throws a 40th Birthday Bash from 5 to 7 p.m. today — Thursday, Oct. 11.

The gala will feature special performances by the Character Choir, Percussion Ensemble and Strings at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the gymnasium. Cake, cookies and juice will be served in the cafeteria. Mehlville Board of Education President Venki Palamand is a Blades alumni and will be among the guests.

Visitors also will have an opportunity to leave their mark at Blades by decorating a Blades Cafeteria Brick for a minimum $10 donation to the Mehlville-Oakville Foundation.
